Description

Our client is a major UK-based provider of essential infrastructure services to the telecommunications sector. The company specializes in end-to-end services covering the entire network lifecycle, including design, construction, installation, and maintenance for fixed, mobile, and private networks. The position of Transition Project Manager will be working on a mobile telecoms contract.


Role Purpose


The Transition Project Manager is responsible for leading a multi-faceted contract mobilisation. The role ensures transition of service from incumbent to ourselves is successfully implemented, business change is delivered effectively, and stakeholders are fully engaged throughout the process.


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end Transition through to business-as-usual handover
  • Develop and manage detailed project plans, timelines, dependencies, and risks
  • Drive transformation and change initiatives to support new operating models, processes, and services
  • Engage, influence, and manage senior stakeholders across clients, suppliers, and internal teams
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams to ensure delivery of agreed outcomes and milestones
  • Identify, manage, and mitigate risks and issues, escalating where appropriate
  • Ensure governance, reporting, and controls are in place and adhered to

Skills and Experience

  • Proven experience managing large, complex projects in a contract mobilisation, transition, or transformation environment
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to communicate and influence at all levels, including senior leadership
  • Demonstrable experience delivering business change and transformation initiatives
  • Excellent project planning, organisational, and problem-solving skills
  • Strong risk, and dependency management experience
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities in fast-paced environments

Qualifications (Desirable)

  • Project Management qualification (e.g. PRINCE2, MSP, PMP, or equivalent)
  • Change management experience or qualification

We are looking for someone who can start straight away, the contract is a 5-6 months contract which will run until the end of October.
