Our client is a Telecommunication Infrastructure Services Company and is part of the Telecom Division of a Group of companies. Covering the full network lifecycle, we deliver Managed Services and Projects for both fixed and mobile infrastructure networks across the operator and utility markets.
What you will be doing:
- Compliance with Health & Safety Regulations ensuring that all issues of Health & Safety are monitored regularly, and accurate records maintained
- Review and sign-off Construction Phase Plans for works
- Review and Ensure all Method Statements/Risk Assessments are in place for contractors
- Authorise works start on site
- Support liaison between Project and Site Teams
- Support Project Teams in preparation and organisation of programme for work activities
- Provide CDM expertise and support CDM compliance/ awareness/ training for Project Teams
- Implement and monitor Health & Safety and ensure compliance by on Site Team
- Implement and monitor Quality Assurance and ensure compliance by on Site Team
- Support contractual issues with supply chain as per conditions of contract
- Attend supervision, training and meetings as required.
- Responsible for ensuring Technical Controls are provided for all Fibre and Civils activities in line with safety, quality and environmental systems.
- Responsible for ensuring works are completed and snagged
- Public/ Client liaison duties as required
- Produce progress reports as required
- Review and benchmark productivity on site and report to the Project Manager
- Any other reasonable task that may be required by the line manager
What you’ll bring:
Your main skills and experience will include:
Essential:- A minimum of 5 years in a civils management role, ideally on Telecoms/ Power projects
- NEBOSH Construction qualification
- EUSR SHEA Power or comparable DNO/ substation experience
- Experience in interpreting and reviewing Fibre Designs, SLD’s and splicing schedules
- Experience in overseeing Fibre testing and Splicing operations
- Ability to communicate effectively, both written and verbally
- Ability to successfully implement, maintain and ensure compliance of Health & Safety legislation
- Commercial awareness
- Prepared to travel to site locations
- Full valid driving licence
- IT literate in MS Office
