Location: Dumfries and Surrounding Areas
Type: Contract
Salary: £600 - £800 Per Day
We are currently looking to recruit a Fibre Splicer to work on our Telecom Contract in the South West of Scotland.
The purpose of this position is to ensure a scheduled programme of work is delivered on time, to budget in a safe, quality manner across all products.
This role will be on synthetics/price rates, ideally you will have all your own kit/van/tools.
As a Splicer, your duties & responsibilities will be:
- Installation and testing of all fibre cabling works.
- Complete and submit all necessary documentation.
- Auto toggle SASAs, and complete all port testing on CBTs
- Deal with day-to-day issues and problems
Skills & Knowledge Requirements
- A proven track record of working as a splicer within the Telecoms Industry or other similar utilities
- N23
- Experience in Cabling and Splicing.
- Knowledge of Health & Safety NRSWA requirements
- NRSWA accredited
- Able to meet strict quality standards.
- Awareness of Customer Satisfaction for both internal and external sources.
- Self-Motivated.
- Good communication skills
- Able to work out of hours / weekends when required.
- Able to work alone or part of a team
- A strong technical background across multiple disciplines
