Description
Smart City Recruiters Ltd are currently looking for a Telecoms Civils Supervisor to join our sister company in the Glasgow region.

Job Specification:
 
  • Effectively supervise all teams/crews/gangs
  • Determine resource requirements for each site on a daily basis
  • Maximise productivity targets while maintaining a safe work environment.
  • Being the business' representative on our sites
  • Ensuring all works are planned in advance and executed efficiently
  • Manage the construction site on a day-to-day basis
  • Undertake in-progress and post completion audits
  • Provide daily measures to Field Management & Commercial teams
  • Promoting behavioural based practices to the workforce
  • Assist with preparation of work schedules 
  • Ensure all sites are set-up in accordance to NRSWA regulations
  • Ensuring ‘right first time’ quality 
  • Carry out ongoing daily assessments ensuring defective works are rectified immediately
  • Carry out joint audits with client
  • Manage unexpected problems and seek support when required
  • Conflict management
 
Ideal candidate will demonstrate the following:
 
Essential:
 
  • Streetworks supervisor qualification
  • Knowledge of industry regulations
  • A hands-on approach in order to influence a positive culture and mind-set throughout the workforce
  • Pro-active and self-motivated with a solid work ethic, consistently achieving goals and meeting deadlines
  • Good people manager and coaching skills
  • Demonstrated ownership of all aspects of the job
  • Passion for excellence
  • Meticulous attention to detail
  • Full Driving License
  • Ability to travel throughout the UK
 
Desirable:
 
  • NVQ qualifications in Site Supervision, Contracting Operations, Site Management
