Smart City Recruiter are looking to recruit a Safety, Health, Environmental & Quality Advisor for our client in the Lowestoft area. This position has opened due to company expansion and is on a perm basis.
We are looking to recruit an ‘hands-on’ Safety, Health, Environment & Quality Advisor from a construction or telecommunications background, to be based at our clients office in Lowesftoft.
This role may involve travel within the UK and the willingness to work flexibly out with your standard hours as and when required. A full valid UK driving licence will be required.
Duties will include, but not limited to:
· Provide support to the SHEQ Manager and Senior Managers in promoting a positive Health & Safety culture and working towards continual SHEQ improvements
· Actively maintain Management Systems ISO45001, ISO14001 & ISO9001 and assist with annual reviews of SHEQ Management Systems
· Conduct SHEQ Audits and Inspections of field-based work sites to ensure legal compliance and identify potential Health Safety and Environmental Hazards and risks
· Assist and provide input to the monthly management meetings, as well as client meetings.
For this role you will ideally have:
· NEBOSH General Certificate (or Construction Certificate) or equivalent IOSH, NVQ qualifications
Experience as follows:
· Working in a construction or telecommunications environment
· Working with SHEQ management systems
· Working knowledge of OHSAS 18001, ISO14001 & ISO9001
This is a challenging role requiring someone with a ‘can do’ attitude, a commercial approach and an attention to detail. The successful candidate must be hardworking, reliable, and possess excellent communication & interpersonal skills. You will report to the SHEQ Manager and there will be significant interaction with the senior management of the business. You will therefore be required to develop relationships at all levels. The ability to multi-task and work to tight deadlines is essential.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with good all-round Health & Safety experience, who can work on their own initiative to develop the role and drive forward change.

Salary up to £35,000 - £45,000pa + Company Vehicle depending on experienc
