- Smart City Recruiter are looking to recruit a Quantity Surveyor for our client in the Lowestoft area. This position has opened due to company expansion and is on a perm basis.

They are seeking a Quantity Surveyor to work alongside the Company’s management team. The successful candidate must be flexible in work location
DAY TO DAY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

Subcontract management: to monitor and verify subcontract expenditure
including the administration of subcontract payments, implementation of
subcontract change control including issuing Subcontractor Instructions and
evaluation of subcontract compensation events - Create accurate forecasts and budgets
- Produce accurate reports to client and build client relationships
- Ensure timescales and contract commercial deliverables are met
- Ensure both processes and compliance are effectively followed and delivered

Minimise the costs of a project and enhance value for money, while still
achieving the required standards and quality - Identify and manage commercial risks and opportunities

Ensure all commercial and administrative systems and procedures are
utilised - Budget and cost control procedures to be followed
- Invoicing of customers, sub-contractors and suppliers
- Maximise cash flow
- Assess and review contractual and commercial risks

Ensure works are valued and analysed to determine the true value of the
project
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL DEMONSTRATE THE FOLLOWING:
ESSENTIAL:
- Degree in Quantity Surveying
- 5-7 previous years of experience in the construction industry

Pro-active and self-motivated with a solid work ethic, consistently achieving
goals and meeting deadlines -
Successful track record in managing all costs from the inception to final
account -
Capability to manage projects from feasibility through to completion with
minimum supervision - Excellent communicator with clients, colleagues & public
- Demonstrated ownership of all aspects of the job
- CSCS card
- Passion for excellence
- Meticulous attention to detail
- Full Driving License
- Ability to travel throughout the UK
DESIRABLE:
- MRICS qualified or working towards Chartership

Experience as a Quantity Surveyor for a main contractor or specialist
contractor in telecoms sector
