About The Role

They deliver a range of essential infrastructure services to the utilities, transport, data and telecom sectors across the UK and Ireland.
Smart City Recruiters Ltd are looking for a Project Coordinator to be part of our client project team, based out of their Blantyre office.
What will you be doing?
Joining the team, you will be working under the direction of the Project Manager. Primarily focusing on our survey activities as well as large scale cabling works. You will work to achieve deadlines set out by the project manage which enables us to stay on track with the project as a whole.
You will work collaboratively with supervisors also reporting to the project manager. In addition, you will engage with other teams within the organisation.
The ideal candidate would have worked on telecommunications contracts previously. Have great attention to detail with excellent clerical skills to track updates on all jobs. Strong verbal communication skills to participate in calls with varying sub-contractors and the client when required. And, possess prior experience in coordination roles.
What will your key responsibilities be?
- Engaging with sub-contractors to ensure works are completed in line with agreed deadlines
- Generating a whereabouts of all operatives working on sites for the project for distribution to the wider project team, health and safety and the client.
- Gathering evidence for all requests for additional payment from the client and ensuring this is applied for through an existing agreed process.
- Maintaining an up to date and clear project tracker with updates showing where each task is up to and identifying the current owner.
- Liaise with internal and external customers
- Reviewing documentation returned by operatives to ensure it meets the quality guidelines.
What competencies are we looking for?
- Experience of working in the telecommunications / utilities industry would be advantageous.
- Experience of following processes and procedures to ensure quality and efficiency.
- Proficient in all Microsoft packages.
- A strong background in scheduling and planning.
- Excellent customer service skills.
