Description
Smart City Recruiters Ltd have an opportunity for a Site Manager for a well established Construction company based in the North East. The Site Manager will be responsible for overseeing all activities and staff to ensure that procurement and site activities are managed to the highest standards in all areas of delivery.
 
The role will also include reporting to the contracts manager and the client always providing clear and precise direction at all levels.
 
The main duties include the responsibility for the following:
 
  1. To ensure Health & Safety are of paramount importance
  2. To regularly review project status ensuring all options have been considered and evaluated to improve construction performance
  3. Ensure commercial challenges are always right
  4. Strong leadership with employees on site
  5. Quality Assurance
  6. Environmental control
  7. Development of strong team working relationships
  8. Developing accurate project programmes and responsible for weekly updates
  9. Ensuring compliance to procedures through weekly/monthly returns where required
  10. Cost risk management and early identification of problematic issues on site
  11. Meet set targets / monitor against Highways and Utilities KPI’s
  12. Weekly submission of information including weekly timesheets, material sheets and plant & site checklists.
  13. Collection of data for Contracts Coordinator including scheme drawings of layout, sections, construction details.
  14. Weekly progress reports
