Location: Birmingham (Head Office)

Overview of Position
Supporting the demolition operations team, the Technical Co-ordinator is responsible for managing logistics, documentation, scheduling, and co-ordination of external resources.
From pre-demolition planning to post-demolition reporting, the Co-ordinator ensures each project phase is documented, compliant with regulatory requirements, and aligned with delivery timelines.Responsibilities
Full management of service disconnections, isolations, diversions, and adaptations, co-ordinating all planning, liaison, and logistical aspects with statutory providers and subcontractors, ensuring completion in line with the contract programme and any site-specific constraints.
The Technical Co-ordinator will also be responsible for arranging and managing all necessary permissions and permits from local authorities. This will involve close collaboration with departments such as Planning, Building Control, and Highways to secure timely approvals and ensure full compliance with project requirements.Additional Responsibilities:
•Co-ordinate site mobilisation, permitting, and service disconnections.
•Track project milestones and deadlines.
•Arrange and manage all site security requirements.
•Arrange and manage site testing regime in accordance with project specifications.
•Identify waste facilities with local area, arrange required testing to enable waste disposal and material movements.
•Assist with Project Planning & Scheduling:
•Assist in developing project timelines, work plans, and schedules.
•A critical communication link between all DSM departments and eternal bodies.Documentation & Compliance:
Prepare and manage all regulatory documentation, including hazardous materials reports and movements, permits, and safety records including service disconnection confirmations. This will encompass asbestos surveying and sampling, as well as the sampling of other materials, all in accordance with relevant legislation and project specifications.
Communication & Co-ordination:
•Serve as a liaison between clients, contractors, and internal teams.
•Co-ordinate with vendors, suppliers, and subcontractors for equipment, waste removal, and material recycling.
•Schedule and facilitate site meetings and inspections.Reporting & Administration:
•Prepare and issue all site documentation in accordance with the contracted scope of works, ensuring all necessary information is in place prior to the commencement of site activities.
•Support all sites by monitoring activity.
•Track budgets, expenses, and invoicing in coordination with the finance team.
•Support in the preparation of bids and tenders.On-Site Support:
•Visit job sites to monitor progress and assist with co-ordination as needed.
•Address and escalate issues to Senior Management.Skills & Qualifications:
•Strong organisational and time management skills.
•Knowledge of demolition processes, construction terminology, and safety protocols.
•Familiarity with environmental regulations and hazardous material handling.
•Proficient in computer skills.
•Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
•Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.Preferred Background:
•Experience in construction, demolition, or environmental remediation.
•NEBOSH certification or similar NVQ safety training is a plus.
