They deliver a range of essential infrastructure services to the utilities, transport, data and telecom sectors across the UK and Ireland.
Smart City Recruiters Ltd are looking for aCommercial Cost Clerk / Administrator to be part of our client’s project team in the South office.
Our clients busy and well performing commercial department is recruiting for an Administrator to join their Commercial team. As the Commercial Cost Clerk / Administrator you will be are responsible for all Openreach works across the South regions.
Providing support to the Commercial team, working within a team of 6 Commercial Cost Clerks, with ownership of a portfolio of Subcontractors. The key responsibility of this role is to ensure that the Subcontract account summaries are produced in line with agreed terms, and payments made accordingly.
Cost Clerk Role
- Producing subcontract account summaries.
- Processing payments into Oracle.
- Managing liability sheet for application only accounts.
- Updating of subcontractor account summaries with weekly recharges: FPN, S74, Defect’s, RA’s, material and plant.
- Creating and processing variation orders.
- Liaising with subcontractors.
- Advising on account queries.
- Ensuring weekly trackers are updated.
- Organising Retention Releases, when advised by QS’s / Commercial Leads.
- Producing Final Account measures.
Required Key Skills
- Needs to be able to communicate and have relations with Subcontractors & internal Operations, Commercial and Finance managers, and directors on regular basis across Telecom Division.
- Able to manage and prioritise own workload
- Reliable and works well under pressure.
- Able to adapt to Ad-hoc tasks when they arise, multi-tasking.
- Attention to the details – accuracy.
- Strong Excel Skills are beneficial for this role.
