- Fire Alarm Engineer and Service Engineer

The successful candidate will need to have an existing understanding of specialized fire safety and suppression systems. C&G, Electrical & FIA completed training courses would be an advantage. Fire Extinguisher service experience will also be an advantage.
You will be a dedicated worker, presentable in appearance together with the ability to ensure all administration is accurate and presented on time as well as excellent communication skills.
Purpose & Objective of The Job
- To provide a comprehensive servicing and maintenance service for customer fire protection systems.
- To assist as a lead or team member in the installation of alarms
- To actively promote the Company to customers
- To provide technical expertise and support to other engineers and admin team
Responsibilities
The post holder must -
- Perform his/her duties in accordance with the Companies Equality and Diversity Policy.
- Ensure that the companies’ commitment to excellent customer service is promoted and reflected in all work activities.
- Planning activities, journeys, call outs etc. to maximise service time and to ensure cost efficiency.
- Attending call outs from time to time on a Rota basis, fault finding, preventative maintenance, customer liaison, together with replacing and repairing equipment as well as quoting for new installations and remedial work.
Principal Duties
- Servicing of fire alarm systems and emergency lighting
- Repairs & recommendations to fire alarm systems and emergency lighting
- Presenting correctly completed associated paperwork.
- Efficient work planning
- Maintain a mobile base.
- Attend call outs on a rota basis.
- Liaise professionally with customers (reporting faults, defects and up to date legislation information where relevant).
- Liaise with suppliers and provide accurate information for ordering parts etc.
- Testing statuary systems
- Assist in installation of systems.
Secondary Duties
- To participate in the Companies’ programs of in-service training as a trainee and when required as a trainer facilitator.
- To undertake such other duties and responsibilities of an equivalent nature as may be determined from time to time by the Office Manager.

Experience
- Experience of working on a range of fire alarm systems.
- Experience of fault finding and repair of fire alarm systems.
