Operations Manager – Yorkshire
Smart City Recruiters Ltd are working with a client that is a leading infrastructure contractor delivering solutions to clients in the Utilities sector. They wish to appoint an Operations Manager for their Telecoms and next generation networks division which designs, maintains and builds above and below solutions across the UK.
They wish to appoint an Operations Manager in a new role. Reporting into the Senior Management you will have a national remit focused on operational delivery and enhanced commercial returns.
Holding operational P&L responsibility you will manage risk, and the delivery of projects and frameworks across England, you will have in-depth expertise as an operational leader in Civil engineering and utilities preferably with direct experience in Fibre telecommunications/Fibre networks projects.
• With first class technical and commercial acumen you will be a proven leader with the gravitas to enhance the delivery and drive best practice, safety and managing risk and return.
• Strong background in Network build – time served with a major Civils contractor on telecommunications brand new network build.
• Must be knowledgeable in all aspects of the build: - managing the stakeholders project deliverables, timelines and costs contractually agreed under NEC.
• Working with the team to define buildability, value of work pack and advise on any early warnings or change to design.
• Working with the Construction Manager and QS to fully understand the commercial costs to delivery and ensure that the right people are in the right places within the business to ensure the company is “business ready” to deliver business is define shape the build and manage costs as based on key RFS deliverables.
• This is a key position that requires someone with knowledge of programme management and excellent communication and leadership skills.
Salary - £65,000 - £80,000pa + Car or Car allowance and package
