Smart City Recruiter are looking to recruit a Fibre Superviors for our client in the Lowestoft or Bury St Edmunds area. This position has opened due to company expansion and is on a perm basis.

Job Purpose
Reporting to the Fibre Manager, this role will be responsible for monitoring the onsite delivery of the Fibre Cable, Splicing and Testing for a FTTP network deployment project within a City. The Fibre Supervisor will ensure that site operations are carried out on time, to specification within Quality, Health and Safety and Environmental guidelines and regulations.Key Responsibilities
Overall responsible for the health, wellbeing and safety of all engineers within your regions;
to ensure that they drive a safety-first culture and that all engineers meet compliance requirements through training, coaching, awareness and frequent safety checks as per company policy.
Overall responsible for the performance delivery of your area;
to ensure that all targets are delivered in line with customer and company requirements as outlined by the Fibre Manager. Ensure all work on site is carried out to adequate standards as stated in contractual specification by conducting site audits. Ensure all post installation/as-built documents are completed and checked in accordance with the conditions of the project.
To drive outstanding levels of quality in all works complete;
ensuring that they audit, monitor and coach engineers in delivering required quality standards. Update daily/weekly reports and review against the project delivery milestones highlighting any risks that may have arisen to the Fibre Manager.
Compliance; ensure all engineers within their region deliver all compliance expectations, attendance, jobs completed to spec, paperwork completed as required, all processes and procedures followed. Ensure and monitor effective site operations and coordination of works compliant to NRSWA and Health & Safety requirements. Ensure all site-specific method statements/risk assessments are in place.
Manage all elements of commercial performance across your region reducing all inappropriate spend;
Checking Tools, Fleet and Fuel spend.

Essential
- Utilities Supervisory Experience
- NRSWA / Highways Experience
- Good understanding of as builds and hand over documentation.
- Strong leadership skills and ability to set good example to others.
- Intermediate in MS Office (Outlook, Excel & Word)
- Ability to negotiate suitable outcomes that mitigate project risk
- Good technical understanding of telecoms fibre optic networks, cabling, splicing and testing.
- Demonstrable experience of method statements and risk assessments
- Ability to demonstrate experience and working knowledge of CDM Regulations
- Understanding of the New Roads & Streetworks Act 1991(NRSWA)
- NRSWA Streetworks Supervisor Certification Units 1,10-16
- Full Clean Driving Licence
