We are looking for people who have worked in the telecoms industry as Fibre Installation Engineers or Service Delivery Engineers with experience working at heights and in the telecommunications industry. We have positions in many areas in these locations: North East England \/ Yorkshire \/ East Midlands \/ North Wales<\/p>\r\n

Working on a FTTP install project we will provide initial upskilling\/training and are able to offer the right candidates long term career progression over several years.<\/p>\r\n

Job Requirements<\/strong><\/p>\r\n

\u00b7 Driving to customers houses to install fibre inside the home<\/p>\r\n

\u00b7 Liaising with customers to ensure installations can take place<\/p>\r\n

\u00b7 Adhering to Health and Safety legislation<\/p>\r\n

\u00b7 Working at height - climbing ladders safely<\/p>\r\n

\u00b7 Working in underground telecommunications chambers and in street cabinets<\/p>\r\n

\u00b7 Installing fibre cable to customer premises for FTTP installs<\/p>\r\n

\u00b7 Installing a network connection point in customer premises<\/p>\r\n

\u00b7 Explaining the new connection to customers and ensuring they are fully satisfied<\/p>\r\n

\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\r\n

You will have the following qualifications and be able to prove experience and competence:<\/strong><\/p>\r\n

\u00b7 Must hold a full UK driving licence<\/p>\r\n

\u00b7 Must be over 21 years of age (for company vehicle insurance)<\/p>\r\n

\u00b7 Confident working at height and in underground network<\/p>\r\n

\u00b7 Excellent communication skills<\/p>\r\n

\u00b7 Hold a valid NRSWA street works Operative unit 2 card (desirable)<\/p>\r\n

\u00b7 Hold or have held Fibre \/ FTTP accreditations (desirable)<\/p>\r\n

\u00b7 Risk assessment and hazard identification and a strong focus on Health and Safety practices.<\/p>\r\n

As an experienced Traffic Management Operative, you will be required to work on Traffic Management Schemes for a range of projects, helping them to run smoothly and efficiently to achieve maximum production in a working day, whilst maintaining a high Health and Safety standard. This role requires flexibility due to the nature of the business. You must be able to work both days and nights, weekends are optional. You must have a can-do attitude to work.<\/p>\r\n

Key Responsibilities<\/strong><\/p>\r\n

We are looking for someone to:<\/p>\r\n

Oversee all methods of traffic management; Give and take, Priority, Stop\/Go boards, Portable traffic signals, Convoy working, Road closures, Lane closures and diversions<\/p>\r\n

Ensure all work is carried out according to safe working methods and best practice procedures<\/p>\r\n

Carry out risk assessments and method statements on works involving traffic management<\/p>\r\n

Ensure that all activities associated with the job are carried out according to laid down procedures where possible. Identify areas that can be improved and report to your line manager\/supervisor.<\/p>\r\n

Ensure that daily vehicle checks are carried out \u2013 to ensure cleanliness and tidiness of vehicle and the safety of the driver and passenger<\/p>\r\n

Promote positive company image whilst at work (via wearing of company clothing, attitude, and site cleanliness)<\/p>\r\n

Demonstrate initiative by constantly looking to see where improvements can be made<\/p>\r\n

Assist the public, directing them through safe site lines when required<\/p>\r\n

Ascertain when management intervention is required Experience and Qualifications<\/p>\r\n

Lantra 12d accreditation as a minimum TTMBC, 12d (M1, M2)<\/p>\r\n

Lantra 12 a\/b accreditation, IPV driver, foreman advantageous<\/p>\r\n

Provide evidence that you understand the differences between Chapter 8 and the Safety at Street Works and Road Works (red book) and how these apply<\/p>\r\n

Full valid UK driving licence<\/p>\r\n

Be able to read and understand CAD drawings, in relation to the works required<\/p>\r\n
